Wynn's poker room moving to different Las Vegas location

2016-08-29 12:54:22

Wynn announced that it was planning a newer, and improved, poker room in its Las Vegas premises.

This new poker room is due to open on 26th of May and offers enhanced convenience due to its location adjacent the Encore Players Club, Encore Beach Club, Andrea’s and Surrender. The short walk from these locations to Wynn’s new poker room is complimented by parking, also within walking distance.

The new room is said to include 28 tables on 8,600 square feet. Technology will feature greatly in the revamped poker room. Tables will be equipped with USB ports and chargers for mobile devices. The Card Player Tour stop at Wynn’s Las Vegas will be one of the last big events to take place in the old poker room, which, with 3,360 square feet, covered little more than half of what the new room will cover

The room will also include thirty-five 65-inch televisions, which will stream live sporting events. This will be complemented by a sports book window, which will be located within the new space. In a press release, Ryan Beauregard, Director of Poker at Wynn's, stated that “The new room will incorporate carefully selected amenities specific to poker players that will set Wynn Las Vegas apart as a poker destination.”

The new poker room is being opened a week before the 2016 World Series of Poker is due to commence, a mile away at Caesars Entertainment’s Rio Hotel and Casinos. Some commentators noted that the choice of opening date is no coincidence, given that during the time Las Vegas is swamped with poker fans.
