Sky Betting and Gaming plans to expand internationally

Sky Betting and Gaming, which runs SkyBet, is planning to expand into Germany and Italy. The British media company was formed in 2001 and was able to gain a foothold in sports betting as a result of its strong ties with the broadcaster Sky. In 2014, the company acquired Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia, both formerly under 21st Century Fox management.

Richard Flint, SkyBet’s CEO, confirmed that staff has been hired in Germany and Italy. Furthermore, a small group of users in both countries are already testing the local sites.
