Microgaming’s Mega Moolah enters Guinness Book of Records

2016-01-01 12:45:11

Isle of Man company Microgaming announced that last October's win in the progressive jackpot game Mega Moolah has resulted in the company being entered into the Guinness Book of Records.

The entrance, which was awarded in December 2015, refers to UK player Jon Heywood winning the largest ever jackpot won in a slot game. The player won an incredible £13,213,838.68 (€17,879,645.12). The soldier from Cheshire won millions as a result of a mere 25p bet.

“Jon is certainly in the moolah now, thanks to his exceptional stroke of luck,” noted a spokesperson for Guinness World Records.

“We can’t wait to hang the certificate in our office reception,” added Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming.

This record takes over from Net Entertainment's record set by Mega Fortune.
