Big Bucks Bingo email promotion banned by ASA

2016-11-08 15:24:25

The ASA argued that the advertisement by Big Bucks Bingo was misleading customers.

On 2 October, Big Bucks Bingo sent a direct marketing email to players. This email told players to use bonus code EXLC10 to receive a £10 bonus. The email also stated that players would receive 100 free spins upon logging in on Big Bucks Bingo.

The ASA ruled that Big Bucks Bingo failed to point out that these offers were subject to wagering requirements. Furthermore, the ASA questioned in how far the spins could legitimately be referred to as ‘free spins’, given that they understood this to mean that consumers were given 100 free paylines instead.

Despite considering the latter, the ASA found no breach concerning the ‘free spins’.
