Betfect - What is it?Monday, Jul 10, 2017 13:16
But who are they and what do they do? You’ll find out right here and right now.
The Social Network for Betting
They bill themselves as the social network for betting but what does that even mean? Basically, they aim to create an online platform that allows for the communication and interaction between punters and bookies alike to help develop the community aspect of the pastime.
They claim that since such a huge part of the betting industry has moved out of the betting shops down the road and onto the information superhighway that there has been a steady decline in the aspects of camaraderie and socialising that were associated with betting. As they say, necessity is the mother of all invention and when the founders of Betfect came together to work on this platform they had the need for some of that socialising back in their betting lives - so they developed what we now know as Betfect, the platform works as a sort of hub for the world of online betting.
Betfect's technology allows users to use their existing online betting accounts to place, share and copy bets all in one place – users can interact, compete, track performances and share inside knowledge with the community and their closest friends. You can also manage your betting accounts from multiple bookmakers directly from the Betfect site. The platform facilitates the entire betting process from the registration for new users to selecting bet and making deposits and withdrawals. It is sort of like a one stop betting shop where you can do everything you could do in traditional physical bookies with the added benefit of being able to do it at any time and from anywhere.
The platform was launched two years ago and came with the ability to link up your Ladbrokes account to place bets through it and talk with other Ladbrokes punters. William Hill have since joined the party, something which shows the power of such a platform that it is able to bring two competing companies together on the same system and have the customers choose who to use.
Soon after the announcement that William Hill was to join the service the founder of Betfect, Giacomo Alpago said: "We are delighted to be the first social sports betting application to fully and seamlessly integrate with both Ladbrokes and William Hill's APIs to provide an enhanced betting experience for our users. We aim to socialise the digital betting experience and do for the betting industry what eToro is doing for the financial trading markets. It is a major coup for Betfect that major operators like
William Hill and Ladbrokes are keen to work with us to drive innovation in this sector in order to give punters the best betting experience possible."
The platform hopes to add even more betting companies to its portfolio in future so be sure to keep an eye out for that as your favourite bookie might just pop up in the Betfect realm soon enough.
