Unibet’s HQ is based in Malta, with the Australian branch of its operation regulated and licensed in the country's Northern Territory. Entering Australia

Unibet came to Australia in 2012 when the company purchased the Australian-based bookmaker Betchoice. Betchoice was set up in Sydney by bookies Mark Morrissey and Colin Tidy in 2001.

In 2006, Betchoice acquired a licence in the Northern Territory and in 2012 all existing accounts with Betchoice were moved over and rebranded to Unibet Australia following the takeover.
