Planning permission approved for Bet365 expansion in Stoke-on-Trent

Bet365 has some very big ambitious plans for Stoke-on-Trent as construction work on a £7.7 million new training and leisure facility is set to start within a few weeks. City council planners have approved the application for the development on a two-acre site within the Etruria Valley. St Modwen has been chosen to build the £7.7m training and leisure facility at bet365 Group's corporate HQ in Stoke-on-Trent.

Exciting Times For Stoke-on-Trent


The brand-new facility at Etruria Valley Business Park will be a leisure and training centre of 33,500 sq. ft., featuring two five-a-side football pitches, a multi-use state-of-the-art games area, changing room facilities, training rooms, offices as well as onsite staff parking. Planning permission has been given and works are scheduled to begin on the two-acre site at the end of June this year. The completed build is expected to finish up in early April 2018.

Euan Lindsay, development manager for St Modwen, said: "This really is an exciting development for the Etruria Valley site and we are very pleased to be able to assist bet365 to further develop its facilities here in Stoke-on-Trent.
"Following the recent developments for DPD and the West Midlands Ambulance Service, we are seeing significant ongoing investment in Etruria Valley and look forward to further developments coming on stream."
Etruria Valley is a part of the Ceramic Valley Enterprise Zone and made up of 90 acres of the 300-acre Festival Park scheme.
Richard Smith, group property director at bet365, added: "We realise the importance of health and wellness in the workplace and encourage colleagues to enjoy the new facilities once completed."
Nine new jobs will be created as part of the proposed development which also includes room for 15 parking spaces.
