Mr Green launches 'Clean the Sea' project in Malta

Mr Green has announced a new environmental project in partnership with the University of Malta. As part of the ‘Clean the Seas Project’ Mr Green employees and students from the University of York in the UK will clean the shores and waters around Malta while collecting data on sea levels and marine life. Mr Green is a Swedish online gaming operation which is licensed and regulated by the LGA, Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority, and has its headquarters in the island’s town of Sliema.

Mr Green CEO Jesper Kärrbrink announced the new ‘Clean the Sea initiative at the Hilton Portomaso coastal hotel alongside Maltese Environment Minister Jose Herrera. The Minister delivered an opening speech which praised the company’s commitment to safeguarding Malta’s environment. Speaking at the event Kärrbrink said; “We look to drive awareness of the health status of the sea by spreading the knowledge we obtain from the studies and from the physical appearance we have around the beaches of Malta. We hope to be able to leave an educational and sincere effect on the individuals we meet throughout the summer and through sharing the research material we produce.”
