Mr Green experience Record Revenue in Q22017-08-11 07:15:03
Founded in 2007 Mr Green has rapidly become a major player in the online gaming industry. The Swedish company is currently both the eGaming Review (EGR) and International Gaming Awards (IGA) ‘Online Gaming Operator of the Year’ for 2017. The self-proclaimed ‘Gentleman’s Bookmaker’ offers players a huge selection of slots, table games, poker and live casino. The Swedish company, which is licensed and regulated in Malta, has recorded ongoing financial growth for the second quarter of 2017 with an impressive €7.97m jump in revenue on the same period last year.
Online gambling company Mr Green has recorded record revenues for the second quarter of 2017. Mr Green saw its revenues hit a record high of SEK 287.8m (€29.9m/$34.8m) for the period from April to June, a 36.3% increase on the 2016 figure of SEK211.2m. The Stockholm based company saw earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rocket 337% to SEK52.4m with a huge increased margin of 18.2%, compared to 5.7% over the same period in 2016. Mr Green’s total revenue for the first six months of the year are also up an impressive 31.2%. Current revenue at the company for 2017 stands at SEK563.9m for the period from January 1st to June 30th, up SEK134.2m on the same period in 2016.
2017 has seen the Mr Green shifts its focus from the Nordic market to the more lucrative Western Europe region. Although still popular in Scandinavia, the region accounted for 33% of the company’s revenue in Q2, Mr Green is targeting Western Europe to supercharge the company’s growth. Revenue from the Western Europe market shot up a whopping 80.5% in Q2 contributing 41% to the company’s overall takings. Central, Eastern and Southern European market revenue also saw a healthy increase up 30.2%.
The Swedish company are attributing the increase in revenue over the same period last year to their new products and a reduction in operating costs. For the first half of 2017 overall revenue rose 31.2% to SEK546 while earnings more than doubled to SEK86.6m. Last year the company launched a new live casino and sportsbook while this year they rolled out their excellent platform in Denmark. Q2 also saw the relaunch of Mr Green’s female focused Garbo mobile casino product.
The growth at Mr Green has shown no signs of slowing down and Mr Green CEO Per Norman has revealed some of the company’s plans for the next three months. For Q3 Mr Green plans to launch its Danish sports book operations as well as the rollout of its new Sportsbook 2.0 product. Mr Green will also launch a new customer loyalty scheme and update its current platform with the Green Gambling predictive tool to identify potential signs of problem gambling activity.
