Logging in at Betfair

Friday, Jun 9, 2017 10:24

Everything from the Betfair Casino to their huge range of sports betting options can be played when you have logged into your Betfair account.

How to Log In

The easy to use design of the Betfair website comes into its own when you first head over to the site to log in. The location of the login couldn’t be clearer but also is out of the way enough that it doesn’t take away from the overall design of the page nor does it block any important information on the offers and promotions that take up the majority of the page.

The top right of the page contains two simple boxes in which you put your email address or Betfair username and your Betfair password as prompted. The site also has the handy ‘Remember me’ feature which, at the tick of a box retains your information in the Betfair database so that the next time you go to the site they can read your cookies and logs you in automatically so you don’t have to go through the login process again. When you have filled in everything it asks you to simply click on the grey button with the padlock that says ‘Login’ on it and you will be given access to your account and the whole world of Betfair.

If you don’t have an account yet you can set one up at any time through an incredibly straightforward and easy process on the Betfair website. To do this you simply click on the darker grey button that says ‘Join Now’ and follow the prompts it gives you for you to fill in your personal details and then click on register.

Security

Of course, with any sort of website to which you give your personal details and money, you should always be concerned about the safety and security of your identity and deposits. Betfair completely understands this reservation and would be inclined to agree that security is a top priority. It would look very badly on them, and cost them money if they were to provide anything less than a safe and secure service in which you can play games and have fun without worrying about your hard earned (or won) money being at risk in any way.

One of the ways to see how Betfair takes care with your account is to have a look at their rigorous password reset process. The process starts by asking for your email address and the date of birth with you set up the account, it then asks for the answer to a security question which you chose during registration, this is to ensure that it is really you that is trying to access your account at login. Even if someone did have these details to get this far, the site doesn’t just let you into your account, you then have to log into the email account that you provided and if it matches with the one they have on record then they will send you the option to reset your password. This is extra safe as the two-step verification means that you have to prove that it is you to two different services (Betfair and email) before you are granted any sort of power over your account password.
