Leovegas love their footy as they put pen to paper on sponsorship deal!

2017-07-17 08:10:00

Leovegas which is a Swedish casino company was only founded back in 2011, but over the past few years, their brand profile has risen extraordinarily over the whole of Europe. Leovegas just launched their very own sportsbook last year, which has seen them gain an even bigger following. Leovegas have added many sporting partners over the past year, including the Leicester Tigers and golfer Mathias Schjolberg. Now, Leovegas have added to the list by agreeing a partnership with London based football club – Brentford FC.

The sponsorship between “the bees” and Leovegas will initially last for two years and Leovegas will become the football club’s title sponsor and shirt sponsor. Brentford FC will be playing their trade in the Championship next season, which is the second tier in English football. The Leovegas logo will feature on Brentford’s home and away shirts along with featuring around their home ground at Griffin Park. Leovegas will gain a high level of exposure in the UK as a result of this deal and Leovegas will be hoping to gain traction among sports fans.

Leovegas bosses are excited about this new sporting collaboration as Leovegas aim to build a sportsbook which will be competing at the top of the market along with Bet365, Ladbrokes, and Paddy Power in the UK & Ireland. Speaking about the new deal, the head of Leovegas in the UK & Ireland – Jon Sinclair said:” We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Brentford FC. The much-loved club is, like us, ambitious and innovative – which perfectly aligns with our technological expertise and mobile first ethos”.

Leovegas are looking to make a bigger impact in the UK which is one of the most competitive online betting markets out there. Football is one of the most popular sports in the UK, so this move will likely see a rise in Leovegas’s popularity amongst sports fans. “This partnership marks an exciting growth in our sports offering, and offers the perfect platform for us to engage with more football fans, something which is important for us to do over the coming months as we focus on the evolution of our sports betting product.

The Championship is one of the most viewed leagues in the world, not just the UK, so Leovegas can expect to gain a lot of exposure over the next two years. Leovegas and Brentford will, of course, be hoping that the club could gain promotion to the Premier League, which would be a highly lucrative opportunity for both parties. Mark Devlin who is Chief Executive of the club stated that: “There was a synergy between us and the benefits of the relationship appealed to all parties. We believe there are common values we share and we look forward to working closely with Leovegas over the next two years.”
