LeoVegas give Norwich City's Carrow Road a makeover2017-08-23 09:22:36
LeoVegas and Norwich City
The home of English football club Norwich City, Carrow Road, has gotten a casino style makeover ahead of the new Sky Bet Championship season. In June, LeoVegas became the principal sponsor of the Norfolk based club, in a deal that will see the company’s logo appear on all Norwich City shirts for the upcoming season. Under the agreement, LeoVegas branding will also appear at the clubs 27,000-seater stadium and training ground. Just in time for the new season, which kicks off in early August, LeoVegas have placed their company banners around Carrow Road, with pitch side electronic advertising and banners along the top of the stadium’s four stands.
Announcing the sponsorship deal back in June the Managing Director of Norwich City Steve Stone highlighted its commercial benefit to the club. "We are delighted to welcome LeoVegas as our Principal Partner for the next three seasons, and as such, they are making a vital commitment to Norwich City. It has been a positive summer for the Club commercially, and this lucrative partnership with LeoVegas will generate vital income into Norwich City. We very much look forward to working with them for the next three seasons.".
LeoVegas Sport was first launched in the UK in 2016 and has quickly become one of the region’s top destinations for sports betting. The platform offers sports betting across a range of markets with everything from football and horse racing to tennis and golf covered. The Head of LeoVegas UK, Jon Sinclair, explained how the deal with Norwich City was part of LeoVegas’ overall plan to build the company’s reputation as a sports bookmaker in the UK. "We’re very excited to be partnering with Norwich City, and this is a deal that cements LeoVegas’ presence in UK sport. We’re delighted to be working alongside the Canaries at the start of an exciting new era both on and off the pitch, and can’t wait for the new season to get started.”
Hope for the Season Ahead
Norwich City fans will be dreaming that the 17/18 season will see them return to England’s top flight after a two-year absence. LeoVegas’ sports betting platform, LeoVegas Sport, currently has Middlesbrough as favourites to clinch the Sky Bet Championship title at odds of 6/1. Aston Villa are close behind at 7/1 while London based club Fulham could be worth a punt at 8/1. Norwich City are expected to be some way off the pace at 12/1 but are predicted to push for the play-off places. LeoVegas will be hoping that new manager Daniel Farke will be able to hit the ground running and guide the ‘Canaries’ to promotion back to the English Premier League.
