32Red extends their backing of Frank Warren

2017-07-29 11:00:00

32Red, part of the Kindred Group, have been the sponsors of the Frank Warren boxing shows since earlier this year when they signed on for a short-term contract with the boxing mogul and trainer. On Monday 3 July 32Red got the chance to announce their new deal with the Warren company. The deal sees an extension of 12-months their current one that gives 32Red the right to sponsor Frank Warren’s blockbuster boxing shows which are regularly shown on both BT Sport and BoxNation until July 2018.

The new agreement will kick into gear at the ‘The Future is Now’ event at London’s Copper Box Arena this Saturday. This event is intended to be a celebration and opportunity to show off the wealth of young British talent that currently works within the Frank Warren team. Saturday will see fights to claim both the British Welterweight belt between current holder Dale Evans and contender Bradley Skeete. The WBO European title is also being contested at this event by Light-Heavyweight Anthony Yarde so it is safe to say that the stakes are suitably high for this, the first event of the new 32Red sponsorship deal.

Director of Brand & Acquisition for 32Red, Gerry Murray, was extremely happy with the prospect of continuing to work with Frank Warren and his live boxing events, he had this to say on the deal: “We’re thrilled to have agreed on a new long term deal with Frank Warren and his team. Since starting our relationship earlier this year, we’ve been fortunate to be involved with a number of excellent shows that have given our brand a superb platform to reach new potential customers.

32Red is all about providing quality and excitement for our customers and we’re delighted to have found a long-term partnership where that’s being replicated on a regular basis. Despite the fact we’re only a few shows in, we’ve already seen classics like Daryll Williams v Jahmaine Smyle, a real grudge-match with Smith and Williams and the emergence of some of the most exciting talent in boxing today with Dubois, Yarde, Barrett and Woodstock. From both a commercial perspective and as a fan of boxing, it’s been a hugely encouraging start and we’re looking forward to an exciting year ahead.”

This excitement and joy were clearly mirrored by Frank Warren himself when he said in a press release: “We are delighted to have agreed on a new long-term deal with 32Red. I do believe boxing fans have been well catered for by the coverage on BT Sport and BoxNation of our promotions over the last few months. The fans at the venues certainly seem to be enjoying what they are seeing.

“This is just the beginning though and I fully anticipate everything going from strength to strength as our richly talented young fighters take more significant steps in the coming months and years. It has been a brilliant start to our partnership with 32Red and I am looking forward to putting on more World class events with them.”
The extension of the deal shows a great amount of satisfaction within both camps so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they both decided to keep up their partnership for a lot longer than this if things continue to go well for both of them.
