Gold MacDonald is a game that you can only play at mFortune and it is set on a magical farm that is run by a farmer called Gold MacDonald. It was the first ever 3D slot released by mFortune back in 2016. The game is inspired by the popular nursery rhyme “Old McDonald” but this farm is a little bit different to the song as it features a watering can that can not only grow vegetables but also fully grown goats!

Special Features

The first feature I came across while playing this game is the Wild symbol and it is illustrated by a happy looking Gnome. It substitutes for all symbols except the Bonus Game and Free Spins symbols. The more symbols you get, the higher the multipliers become in the mini-game. This cool little game involves spinning a wheel and moving the farmer along a trail to reach some gold. You will win a multiplier for every square the farmer lands on and if you reach the end of the trail then you will be awarded a gigantic multiplier. Avoid the bear, some traps, and a tombstone at all costs as if you land on these squares then the mini-game is over!

Theme, Graphics and Sound

The graphics of this game are excellent and the symbols are wonderfully displayed in a 3x5 layout on the farmer’s field. The farm is bursting with life and colour, as there are animals everywhere and fish, frogs, and a riverboat even pop up along a stream beside the field. The symbols consist of a variety of farmyard animals and they animate really well as they bounce and glitter when you form a winning combination. I really liked how the red watering can splashes water and changes the symbols when you click the Spin button, it is very original and an interesting way of displaying symbols rather than just spinning reels like normal slot games do.

The music is quite country as you would expect and it is full of banjos and violins. It is really enjoyable to listen to and I found myself tapping my feet to the sounds of the game on more than one occasion!

Gold MacDonald is produced by mFortune and it’s a magical trip to a farm you won’t forget anytime soon. The game is really fun to play and the animals are so cute to look at! Although it does not contain that many features, I was able to trigger the mini-game quite a few times and this neat little game provides lots of replay value as the multipliers can offer huge payouts. It is also nice that there is an attractive progressive jackpot to aim for and this should draw in plenty of players to have a go on this slot.
