The first feature to highlight is that the slot pays both ways so you can accumulate wins from left to right as well as from right to left. The Wild symbol is depicted by the word ‘Wild’ surrounded by a golden frame. Like standard Wild symbols, it substitutes for all other symbols to help form winning combinations along the reels but it also activates the main feature of the game. When you land a Wild symbol on the middle reel, it will transform into a golden Wild symbol called Flippy Wild and this in turn triggers the Flip feature. The Flip feature turns over landed symbols with the same payout into one symbol. For example, the Liberty Bell and Lucky Sevens symbols will flip into a Blue Diamond symbol and the Watermelons and Cherries will turn over to reveal a Gold Bar symbol. The payouts are the same as in normal play but it really boosts the potential to land a massive win.

Not only does the Flip feature offer the potential to win big but it also has 3 levels and the Wild symbol becomes sticky throughout the bonus game. After a payout has been made, you’ll be awarded one respin between the 1st and the 2nd level as well as between the 2nd and 3rd level. Landing another Flippy Wild symbol will advance you to a new level. As you level up, more and more stacked symbols will appear which greatly enhances your chances of landing a much higher payout.

Theme, Graphics and Sound

The game features some beautiful graphics that is full of soft pastel colours. You can clearly see that a lot of work went into the presentation of the game as soon as you load it up. The backdrop of the slot is made up of a dusky green and orange sky complete with a sleepy town just below the reels. Symbols are wonderfully detailed and consist of brightly coloured fruits and stars. The animations are decent especially when you land a big win as the game is completely covered with falling golden coins which fill up the entire screen.

The music has a light and breezy tone to it. It ties in nicely with the old-school theme of the game.

Our Verdict on Fruitful Siesta

Playson created this fun slot and it is a fresh new take on the fruit machine format. The game is beautiful to look at with lots of nice soft colours used and it is really easy to play. It does not contain that many features but the Flip mode will have you spinning those reels again and again. I was able to trigger this feature quite frequently and the rewards can be huge especially when you advance through the levels as more and more stacked symbols appear on the reels. I found this game to be of Medium variance so you won’t be waiting too long before you land a win along the reels.
