Double your fun and double your payout with this cracking Blackjack variant!

Blackjack is a classic casino card game that is synonymous with casinos everywhere. So much so in fact that it is believed to be the most widely played casino table game of all time. This game is also known as 21 and it is believed that it originated from Spain all the back in the 17th century. Blackjack is so popular with players that many versions of the game exist today and one such variant is this game - Double Attack Blackjack. The most interesting feature of this Blackjack variant is that you can double your bet after the dealer’s card is dealt.

The game is played with a deck of 52 cards and features a Double Attack option.

Special Features

The premise of Blackjack is quite simple as it is all about trying to beat the dealer with a better hand. This involves getting a score of 21 points (known as Blackjack) or reaching a score higher than the dealer without going over 21.

To play the game, you first need to place some chips on the table. The chips are located in the lower-right corner of the screen and range in value from 1 all the way to a staggering 100 a piece! Once you have put your chips on the table, press the ‘Deal’ button to start the game.

The game begins with the dealer receiving two cards, of which one is face-up. Unlike other variants of Blackjack, players are given the chance to double their bet after seeing the face-up card and to double your bet all you need to do is press the ‘Double Attack’ button. If you prefer to just stick with your original wager then click on the ‘Normal’ button.

Next, you’ll be dealt 2 cards that are face-up and you will be presented with a range of options to choose from. You can choose to ‘Hit’, ‘Stand’, ‘Double’, ‘Split’ the cards or ‘Surrender’ a round. Once you have selected an option, the cards are then counted to see who is closer to 21 points. If you have a closer hand to 21 points or land 21 points then you will win. It is worth noting that the Dealer must stand on 17 and draw on 16 and that this variation of Blackjack pays even money.

A pleasing aspect of this game is that it is possible to reuse the same bet again and again. To do this, all you have to do is press the ‘Rebet’ button when a round has been played. You can remove the current bet at any time by simply pressing the ‘Clear Bet’ button.

Theme, Graphics and Sound

The game features a rather dated presentation but do not let that deter you from playing this exciting table game as it focuses purely on the action that takes place between you and the dealer. The game is played on a classy looking green felt casino table and the Blackjack rules are clearly displayed in the middle of the table so you know exactly what the game is all about and what it pays out.

The only sounds you will hear in this game are from the Live Dealer as he informs you when to place bets and when a round has been won.

Win lines, Payouts and Jackpots

The game is played with a typical 52 card deck and has an RTP ranging between 96% and 97%. Insurance pays 3 to 1 in this version of Blackjack.

Below is a summary taken from the PayOut Table from the game.

Chip Value: 1.00, 5.00, 25.00, 100.00

  • Dealer must stand on 17 and Draw on 16
  • Insurance pays 3 to 1
  • Blackjack pays Even Money

Our Verdict on Double Attack Blackjack

Double Attack Blackjack is produced by PlayPearls and some might say it is a more complex version of Blackjack to play but I found it quite easy to pick up to be honest. Doubling your bets after seeing a Dealer’s first card really ramps up the excitement and Blackjack players are going to love playing this highly original take on a much loved classic casino game. It is also nice to see that you can double down or surrender on any number of cards when playing this game.
