The first thing I noticed while playing this game was the Wild symbol which is denoted by a beautiful samba dancer. As per usual, this symbol substitutes for all other symbols except the Scatter symbol which is illustrated by a night time view of the famous Copacabana beach.

If you manage to land 3 Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels then you will trigger the Free Spins feature. In this feature, you will be awarded 15 free spins and not only that but Wild symbols will also appear stacked. A really nice thing about this feature is that free spins can also be retriggered. The last feature to highlight is the Gamble option. This is triggered when you form a winning combination on the reels and it involves guessing the colours of some random playing cards. Theme, Graphics and Sound

The game is wonderful to look at and really does look like a postcard from Brazil.
The colours are vibrant and you can tell there is a real carnival atmosphere going on as soon as you start spinning those reels.

The symbols really stand out in this game as they feature a variety of dancers, musicians, flowers and cocktails. The animations are crisp and really pop when you land a winning combination. I especially liked watching the musician shaking his maracas when I had a winning payline!

The music is quite samba-based and really kicks in when you form a win across the reels. I found my feet unintentionally tapping to the music of the game at times but that was probably because I was landing some wins!

Queen of Rio is made by EGT and it’s a fun-filled trip to the Copacabana and really puts you in the party mood. Although the game does not have that many features, the carnival theme really appealed to me. So if you like festivals and the wonderful delights of Brazil then this slot is definitely for you.
