The game is clearly influenced by the famous Rainbow Riches game albeit with a distinctly Irish flavour.
It is a 5 reel slot game with 20 paylines and comes with some very interesting features.
There is lots of fun to be had here but it all depends on how far down the wishing well you wish to venture!
Special Features
This game has three innovative bonus features which provide great replay value the more you play the game.
The first feature is the Wishing Well Bonus and this occurs when you land 3 or more Wishing Well symbols anywhere across your reels. When this happens, the leprechaun will do a jaunty jig across the reels and collect all the gold coins that flow out of the wishing well.
The second feature is the End of the Rainbow bonus. This is triggered when you land on 3 or more Pots of Gold anywhere across the reels. You will then have to guide the merry leprechaun up a mountain with small pots of gold as obstacles on six levels and a huge pot of gold awaits you at the top! You get to pick one small pot per level and each pick can award either a cash prize or a collect symbol which will end the bonus.
If you are fortunate enough to have the luck of the Irish and manage to get to the big pot of gold at the top then you will be awarded an extra win on top of your six picks. It is good to know that the more Pot of Gold symbols you get, the greater the prizes. For example, getting four pots to trigger End of the Rainbow will give you three times higher awards and five pots gives you awards that are ten times higher.
The last feature is the Free Games one. This happens when you land on three leprechaun Bonus symbols in reels 2, 3 and 4. It awards you with 12 free spins with Plenty O’Coins. These coins are significant as they are denoted from gold, silver and bronze colours and can appear on any position in your reels and award you with multiplier bonuses depending on the coin that is displayed. This is a neat little feature but the only downside to this is there is no way to get more free spins when playing it.
Theme, Graphics and Sound
Upon starting the game, it was nice to see a wee intro story and I like how the leprechaun greets you when the game begins. His voice definitely commands your attention!
The game is very colourful and I really like the different shades of green that are used on the grass, trees and the smiling leprechaun. It is a very bright game and the animations are quite polished compared to other games.
The leprechaun is definitely the star of the show here. He is a bit of a rogue and has no problem drinking some stout while smoking on his pipe! Sure one time I saw him pull a drink from his hat and he made it disappear as quick! He also pulls out some slick Irish dance moves that even Michael Flatley would be proud of!
The music is definitely of the toe-tapping variety and I found my feet tapping along in tune.
